Renae Nicole Rodriguez is a concept-driven, creative problem solver, designer, and illustrator, currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. As a strong believer that good ideas are the best foundation for good design, she is especially passionate about branding, and takes great pride in her ability to visually communicate. When she's not saving the world from bad logos and careless kerning, she also enjoys creating icons, illustrations, and brainstorming ideas for her first self-published zine.
Rodriguez was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Auburn University as a Presidential Scholar and member of the honors college with a BFA in Graphic Design in May 2014. After interning at Surface magazine in New York City, she decided to move to Brooklyn, New York to plant the seeds of her graphic design career. She was chosen as a Semi-finalist in the Adobe Design Achievement Awards competition in both 2014 and 2013, and has also been featured in several shows, exhibitions, and print publications.
Currently, she is employed as the Lead Graphic Designer on the Branding Experience Team at BrainPOP, where she works in print design, illustration, icon design and environmental design. She is currently taking on select freelance work and developing personal work in her spare time.
